The ALRC National 2008 was hosted by
the Midland Rover Owners Club at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire, 22 - 27 May 2008.

Thank you to all those of you who attended, and an especially big thanks to all club members of MROC and Wye & Welsh who did an absolutely sterling job, both before, during and after the event. Your time and efforts have been much appreciated.

Also a very big thank you goes to Land Rover Experience and all their drivers and staff, especially Ian and Jojo, for their unfailing support both before and during the event. A fabulous group of people we are sure you will agree.

Glyn Philips, Chief Marshal would also like to express his thanks to all the 200 marshals that stepped forward to help, despite the persistent rain. A few even covered all 3 main events, the RTV, CCVT and the Comp. Without these people there would have been no event.

Emails
From the emails we have been receiving from you all since the event finished, it seems that the weekend was an unmitigated success - despite the weather.
We would like to apologise for the damp bits, however, contrary to popular opinion, it was out of our control! The RTV and Team Recovery boys had the best of the sun on Saturday - hard to believe now that dust was becoming an issue, considering how the remainder of the weekend turned out!

Articles
If any of you out there would like to submit an article about the weekend, an event or simply something interesting or funny that happened that you'd like to share with the rest of us, please feel free to email them to us and we will publish them here on the website.

Magazine coverage
Look out for the next issues of the various Land Rover Magazines too, as various journalists were out and about at competition sites throughout the weekend.

Publications to keep an eye out for include:

Land Rover Enthusiast •Land Rover Owner,
Land Rover Monthly • Land Rover World
Top Gear Magazine Phillipines • Total Offroad
